Nick Chopper and Chopfyt are the same meat parts.... We should just tweak the chopfyt mesh and change his costume.

Bucket WIP. Not sure if the shape is what your looking for. And I'm not sure how to approach the rope

Maybe a wire loop for the handle instead of rope--it will be easier to deal with.

Thanks Will
Anyway, here's an update
How to approach the stone well? simple mesh and a stone bumpmap/displacementmap?

Personally I'd like to see the squareness of the protruding panels (where the handle joins) rounded a bit - if for nothing more than ware.

Stone Well WIP
Here is wip image of the stone well. The roof is not like the one on the storyboard (I had some problem approaching that type of roof), but if this roof is not wanted, I can give the other roof an second try. Also ignore the bumpmap (just a test). Let me know whats not looking good and need to be changed (not everything I hope

)

I can't remember what the roof looked like in the storyboard, but the iconic one is an apex. So, basically a mirror of what you have.

The construction of that roof for the well is something I've never seen in carpentry... I think it will need to change.
Do you think that the shingles and stones could just use normal maps?

I guess your right. A ref/sketch of the roof (showing the framework) would have been nice.
I do think the stones could be made with a normal map, but if not I'm willing to build it with splines.
about normal maps, I've never manage to make that work, not sure what I'm doing wrong

You have to run a a photoshop filter to generate a normal map from a grayscale height image like that:
[attachmentid=10266]
that is your image after running the make normal map filter in Photoshop
Here is the Photoshop plug-in:

didn't know exactly what kind of wood pile or wooden table you were looking for, but I thought that I would throw in my 2 cents. I was told to get active in these kinds of threads, it will help me learn more. Anyways, here is the image, nothing much, but it is a start for me.

Woodpile is too uniform and invariably would not be stacked uniformly (unless Nimmee or the Wirtch are obsessive compulsives

)
I think you need some shape and size variations.
Will or one of the other art directors can comment on the style of table.

New shape of the well (The bricks are built with splines) and I like the result (but thats my opinion

)
Let me know if there is a sketch of a roof out there

The only problem with that is that the bricks are all uniquely shaped curved blocks, which seems like a lot of chisel work would be required to smooth down after the stones were fitted... I would rather see it have an organic look of natural stones fitted together.
That would be easiest by not detailing the seams in the rock--just lathing a dense enough grid and using a displacement map to shape the stones.

Here's my WIP for a cook pot.
Is this the general style you want? If so, I'll make others similar, but different handles, chips, etc.

I would like to do the fireplace/stove. Tried in vain to read the storyboard since all Wiki links come up dead.
Is the fireplace available and are there reference pics?

My WIP of the 'and utensils' item.
I would like to know if you primarily want wood or metal items. I've started on both.

The ladel is obviously metal but large spoons/stirrers are always wooden (metal transmitted too much heat to the hand). I think you also want large fork (think BBQ style utensils), a Large meat cleaver and perhaps pne otehr large knife - a carver. Large wooden cutting board (worn), some tin pots and plates, bowls, cups, jugs (Note that many of these items can be reused in Mrs Yoops Kitchen)

http://wiki.hash.com/two/published/AnimaticsAh - good question, the anaimatics were just arbiutarily broken down to suit download management. Do you have v13 yet? If so you can use SVN to download the Movie files and then pick the specific animatic for the exact sequence/scene.
If not, then I will try and get the script breakdown from Bob and get it published so you can marry up the AVI's

OK, for those currently without v13 and producing set/Prop models, you can access the initial Animatics from the WIKI but you will then need to play them and cross match with the Scene breakdowns to work out what Scene/Set models and props are required.
If you need it (Scene breakdowns) you will need to contact me with your email address. It will be made available to Contributors only and it is NOT for public consumption.
Note that Seq A = Seq 1, Seq B = Seq 2 etc. when you see appropriate references elsewhere.

David:
I have the Yeti CD and upgraded to V.12.0p. I uploaded V.13alpha a while ago and had quite a few glitches come up, so I uninstalled it. I was told that since it is an alpha version, it has issues and is not to be used by the general public. Is that the V.13 you are talking about?
Also, I think this may be more trouble than it's worth as far as looking at the storyboards. I just wanted to know if there is a reference for the fireplace/stove someone could post.

Yes it's an alpha (now v4) but it does work and it has SVN access built in - thats the only source for the project files.
For reference shots talk to your Set Managers and the Art Directors. Nothing stopping uoi offering up a few references yourself!

If you tell me where the sequence starts and ends, I can look it up for you. I have the whole animatic here.
Also, v13 is very workable. The only problem so far is if you render in a model window the model goes black. But if you reopen/refresh the model it will go back to normal.

Not quite happy with the handles on the knife and cleaver. I may rework those.

They look the best to me. The fork looks a little plastic in style. Maybe four thinner prongs and a nice handle...wooden even. Just my opinion.

Fork, spoon and turner above are meant to be wooden.

It also may help to model some wear in these items rather than just relying on textures/maps. (ie so they look handmade and not straight off the production line)
