Has anybody made a model of Saya from Blood The Last Vampire?
If so I'd love to see it, actually I'd love to see any models based on anime characters.
Here's a picture of Saya if you don't know what I'm talking about.

That'd be pretty tough, with all that pleated fabric. I'm not aware of anyone having modeled her in A:M, although the movie does come up from time to time when people are talking about lighting in animation. Are you thinking of modeling her yourself?
You might find the
TV series version of Saya easier to model. Short hair, short sleeves, short skirt.

No, I haven't planned on modeling her (at least not yet) but her face (in the movie version) is very similar to a character I'm working on (by the way, I am doing realistic characters not anime characters, still, my work is heavily inspired by anime) and I just thought it would be neat to see a 3d version of her.
Other characters I'd love to see are:
Robin Sena from Witch Hunter Robin
Chii from Chobits
Dark Schneider from Bastard!!
Chiyo from Azumanga Daioh
San from Princess Mononoke
Mugen from Samurai Champloo
Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop
Anita from Read or Die the TV
Naruto from Naruto
Batou from Ghost in the Shell
Ceres Victoria from Hellsing
Inuyasha From Inuyasha
There's more but this gives you the basic idea. Anything from these shows or basically any anime, wether it's another character or just a prop (I was also wondering if anyone has attempted the Swordfish II from Cowboy Bebop. And I really need Inuyasha's sword the Tetsaiga because I can't figure out how to model its blade for a sword I'm working on) would be great to see in 3d because it is reassuring that what I'm trying to do is possible.
Thanks for your time

Well, my
Officer Monk character looks a bit like Batou, if that means anything.

That's cool, I like the other model you posted there too. (I wanted to see Batou because I've always wondered what his eyes would look like in 3d. That answers that question)
The thing is, I like the way that anime models look when they are rendered in 3d more than toonshaded or whatever.
Let me put it this way, lets say that The Matrix (at least the first one) was a live action representation of the futuristic humanoid robot genre of anime (shows like Ghost in the Shell). Well I want to make a live action (technically 3d) representation of the samurai genre of anime (shows like Samurai Champloo, Samurai X, Inuyasha and a ton of other shows about the samurai and ninja).
I just like to see anime models because they help me understand the dynamics of modeling in that style better, and this helps me understand how I can make a realistic version of these character elements.
My movie is like Kill Bill in a way, I took what I like in terms of styles, genres, and cultures and tried to form them into a story worthy of a movie.

Yes! That is exactly what I was talking about! Except I'm doing it samurai style.
Thanks so much for directing me to that page.

Pleated fabric is not that hard to model in A:M. Hash patches is very good at this. Smartskin it and touch it up in the action window depending on the requirements. Make sure you also modelled and SS the arms and legs just to make sure the clothing moves as it should in a real clothed character without looking wierd (arms or legs too skinny or deflated). Make sure you use plenty of references. I haven't tried cloth yet for animating but this method is very controllable and stable. Pseudo-anime/realistic decalled hair too. All possible in A:M.
Have fun with A:M.

Genocell was right. It looks like pleats can be done quite well in A:M:
