Caricature Modeling - the fast and easy way - is to use someones model!
I have used one of Alain Descrochers caricature models you can find on the Extra CD from 2005.
seven
Here is an undecaled version looking like this:
seven
Here is the undecaled caricature project to download - just the hair has some decals.
The model is rigged and lipsynched - only the face poses - eg. the eye blinks - you have to make yourself.

Here is a render of the decaled version:

And here is the project with the decaled version to download - also the face and neck are decaled - not only the hair.

Here is another example - I have used Dex´s head from the A:M CD:

Here is the original head on the CD used for modeling the caricature above - fast and easy:
seven
It is just to copy a head from a ready made model and paste it into a new Modeling window. And have some image(s) to use as a Rotoscope(s) - having something to follow dragging the points in place:

If you like too - you can lip sync your caricature - there are some tutorials to follow - or just have a look at this image - to do the nine necessary poeses for the nine basic phonems. And making a new Action for the sound file and a Dope Sheet with the sentence to use in the Choreography. And you are the way with your own Soap-Opera!

Here you can find my tutorials on Lip Sync:

Some thoughts about face modeling you can find here:

And here you find a link to Jim Talbot´s tutorial on decaling a face:

He has also a good model you can use to make your own caricature.
Here is my try:

Here is part 1 of a tutorial showing how to decal a face.

And here part 2 of the same tutorial.

And here an animation with the caricature!
It is not rendered as Final - to make the rendering a little faster...
And it has really a very special animation style... perhaps you will like it... I thought it was funny seeing him turning the head... it was a mistake... but why not?

I believe caricature animations can be useful and funny! trying to say something in some subjects eg. economics:

Pounding the table for gold and silver

The Federal Reserve tiptoed back, hoping I wouldn't notice, into expanding credit, as evidenced by their $2 billion infusion of make-believe money last week. Not too bad, actually. But worse, they actually started down the path of the ultimate fraud, and bought up $1.6 billion of government debt! Hahaha! The government creates a bond, and the damned Federal Reserve creates the money out of thin air to buy the bond! Hahaha! This is fiat money at its finest! Hahahaha! And we wonder why we get so little respect from the rest of the world!

And here a screen capture from the animation:
