This just in from Larry Buchholz (Larry_B here in the forum).

His basic tutorials have been around for quite awhile but they've now been added to A:M Tutes where they'll hopefully be enjoyed by even more A:M Users.

You can find them here:

Thanks Larry!

Note: This isn't all we'll be doing with Larry's tutorials... they'll play quite well from right inside Animation:Master. Look for it!

Thanks Rodney.

These videos are not really ment as a reference, or a how-to when you get stuck. These are for new users who want to learn about 99% of the tools for modeling.

Start with 1 tool and work your way across. By the time you reach the bottom you will have learned all teh basic tools in A:M modeling (except bias handles), and some basic shapes you can model.

Many of the tools are grouped together IE 5 point patches and hooks, Peak and smooth, etc. This is cause many tools do teh same, or opposiate of each other.

Sorry about making the selection tools as 1 movie. It will be hard to watch the whole thing, but it has been made already, and well.. was a little too much on that one.

I do move slow in areas, and sometimes too slow. But for new users it will be nice to easily follow along.

Anyways, feel free to contact me with any questions, comments you may have.

If you love this tutorial, adn the way i attempt to teach, feel free to check out my other tutoirals.

There is a graphics only reference chart on Basic Material Settings. This was made during V10 so there are a few not added to the list. This has been snagged and hosted on other user groups other than hash (i checked the logs to see what abuse my tutorials have been under).

I also have a rather quick crude animated gif and text tutorial on the Basic Bone Hierarchy. Including Forward and Inverse kinematic chains. Just move your mouse over the boxs on the right to see the mini video. Theya re in sequence to the words in the middle row. Read the text, and if you don't understand, watch the animated gif for clarity.

Anyways, hope you enjoy these informative resources made free for your benifit.

All commends and questions welcome.. Of course all complaints should be sent to Rodney laugh.gif

Why not upload all the tutorials to the Software Tutorials Forum?
Letting the members download them!

Well first, these are all OLD tutorials I made..

Second, all these tutorials are listed in the Animation Resource Matrix. the poor forum could not handle every tutorial out there on the ARM. It just got posted here cause I did take them down from my site, and now they live on HASH website.. new news smile.gif . The Quick-overview movie tutorial is a whopping 50 MEGS!!.

Third, feel free to use the web browsers file>save as feature to save the references to your hard drive (or use other snagging programs). My weblogs have shown me peope have been snagging them (when it first came out).

Fourth.. check out the tutorials, enjoy, study, and learn smile.gif

When I started with Animation Master I jumped into the modeling interface and learned almost everything there is to know about the modeling interface basic tools. So I passed on all the tips, tricks, etc that I discovered. Then tore through texturing (basic) and then rigging (basics) So, what you are getting here is parts of resources I learned through harsh studying. There is just so much to learn about A:M and 3D animation that it is near impossible for me to write tutorials covering everything!!

The Sockwave tutorials took me many more hours than I wanted to spend on it. It is a miricle that it is even finished.

Well, enjoy, study, learn, and have fun
