For the uninitiated, what is a Rough cut and what is an Animation cut?
Cheers
martin
Jul 19 2005, 03:26 PM
"Rough" cut is the animatics the Animation Directors are doing now (7 completed scenes so far). From this we will determine length, pacing, and any story corrections we may wish to make.
"Animation" cut is the beginning/end keyframe timing that the character animators will work from. All voice tracks will have been performed, plus music. All main models will be finished, with proxies. The "Animation" cut is essentially the movie, (without animation and rendering).

Are the animatics being made with proxy models or animated storyboards?

I've posted my rough scene a day or two ago. My apologies for veering off script a tad. I hadn't read the v5 script all the way through. I was kind of fighting it, but since I've read it almost all the way through now I really like it. I have two more shots to do. I'll stay on script with those shots.

TWOshot 4 is now posted CLICK HERE TO GO TO THREADAlright I've posted another animatic. I have just one more animatic to post. It will be the scene where Tin Man gives Nimee the other half of his heart, at the end of the film.
Now you can Watch the movie (in animatic form) from the beginning all the way up to when Tin Man, Scare Crow, and Woot leave Winkie Castle to search for Nimee Aimee. It is best viewed using the .rm Real Video version since it is at the proper aspect ratio and has no dropped frames. Frank Silas
