A tutorial on how to use bump/displacement maps.
seven
A good tutorial on two types of mapping - explaining something the one not knowing the subject - really needs.

Mostly you use bump maps together with color maps. That is not covered. Why not insert a little about this - showing how to use both color mapping and bump mapping in the same time.

And about displacement mapping it would be nice to get to know how many times you have to divide the surface before you get a decent mapping. Or can just divide the parts needed to be divided for the A and M to show up in a nice way?

And I believe the other types of mapping could be explained too.
And how to use key-color for cookie-cutting or better use images with an alpha channel?

I have done something about mapping in my tutorial on grass. But there is so much moooooooooooooooooore to explain.

All the other members what are they doing? Are they only interested in their own projects? I think it is time for all you other guys and dolls to contribute a bit - to do some WINK - tutorial yourself - it is fun, easy and fast! There is so much mooooooooooore to explain.

KenH have done something good - could have been a little more - but help him - help us - doing something, thanks in advance!

Hey... great tutorial but I was just grabbing my bowl of popcorn when it ended! blink.gif

Hope you'll find time to continue this one as it is good stuff! smile.gif

If you aren't reserving this one for yourself and can share the basic project file with image maybe others can join in and add more to it.

Thanks Ken!

I'm going to do a part two. smile.gif
