Over the past week I've emailed BVHfiles.com and animazoo.com every day... because access to their online library seems to be broken - their login, subscribe, unsubscribe and password send webpages all error out in a manner that seems to indicate their database server is either dead or sick.
No one seems to be at home... None of my emails have been answered.
Is BVHfiles.com dead or dying - DOES ANYONE KNOW???
I'm also thinking about purchasing DanceForms and LifeForms from from CharacterMotion.com ... Anyone have any experience with these? Recommendations? Alternatives?

Yes---It appears as though BVHfiles dotcom has 'rescinded' their free BVH file offer. Pity. Now I wish I had downloaded more when I had the chance!
I think Hash should let us use their FTP site to store our collective libraries for sharing and archiving purposes.
I don't know about the software you inquired about, I took a look and it seems pretty cool... They have a great idea selling sets of BVH actions...

After a week, I just received the following somewhat vague message from Animazoo regarding BVHfiles.com - so hopefully they'll be back online soon!

I’ve emailed twice about this previously…

They used to be in San Francisco, but moved to UK about two years ago. Thier technology is still represented by San Francisco based Metamotion in US. I saw a demo of thier new gyro suit at the GDC Thursday. Pretty cool- same sized markers as magnetic tracking but without the need to be inside a magnetic field. Your only range restriction is wireless networking.
