Hello all & Happy New Year ... in my timeline, I've got my character working fairly smoothly using two Chor Actions with inbetween transitions. The inbetweens need more work ...
In this Chor (the beginning), he walks thru a door, steps up to mic, waves & speaks a few words.
Question:
1. Is it possible to add another Chor action & use it to smooth out (both chor 1 & 2) the entire scene? Including the inbetweens? If so, how is this "normally" accomplished?
Any help, or ideals are greatly appreciated ....

I don't know if you're asking this, but you can create a new chor action by right clicking on the action folder under the shortcut to your character. It could be used to smooth out the other actions, but you'd be alot better off to get it right with just the other two actions.

Hi vf:
It's possible, though I've never tried it personally. What you want to do is set your new Choreography Action to "add" and then just animate on top of what you've previously done. Hash automatically handles the math to make the "add" work properly with the underlying actions.
Keep us posted on your progress!

Zack,
Are you saying it's a bad ideal? Maybe it's time for a new Chor & another scene?
Question:
1. If the 3rd Chor Action is set to ADD, should the 2nd be set to "blend"?

Hi!
From what i see in your project workspace, yes you could have a 3rd cho action set to "add", overlapping the first actions in time.

You would have completely different results. If you have your second action set to "add" right now, you are adding to your"standing still" action wich is probably set to "hold last frame". If you set your second action to "blend", and put it to 100%, you will have nothing left of your last action, because "blend" at 100% is pretty much the same as "replace". I am not so sure i am clear. Anyway i hope it helps.

No, no, not at all! Just that I've never tried it. In fact I was thinking of trying it on my current project but I haven't yet.
Well--actually, that's not true. I did use it, but only with pose motion, not skeletal. It worked like a charm.

Michel,
My 2nd Chor Action is set to "add" at 100% ...if I change it to "blend" at 100%, some of my arm movements freak out? Can I still have the 3rd Chor Action set to "Add" at 100%?
Thanks for the reply ...

Zach,
Being a newbie, I'm trying to get as much action in each scene as I can. To date, I have a beginning, middle & end, and would like to keep the video editing to a minimum for my 1st short, until I get all the loose ends tied.
Bad ideal?

I'm not sure what you mean... are you talking about organization here? Doing the cuts between cameras directly in A:M?
It all depends on your personal workflow. I like to break things up into multiple choreographies and edit them afterward. Often, I decide to create a set, save it out as a base choreography and import it multiple times for different shots. But for my most recent project, I tried putting everything into one HUGE choreography and animating the camera. I found it somewhat unwieldy, but it was certainly possible.

Sorry if it's not so clear ... I want my scenes "as long as possible" before cutting them up in the video editor ...
