I guess it will mostlly depend on our american friends, maybe 2005 will teach them, not too hardlly, that war is not the answer.
Then again, it is not the first time they get involved in a war that is not right, not that there is such a thing but you know what I mean. Let's hope they gona finally learn and leave the world at peace.

I hope 2005 isn't as depressing as 2004 was/is , I live in the US of A and am truely ashamed of what this country has/is turning into.
So I wish you the best in 2005 and beyond.....even being the pessimist that I am.......may the homeless find shelter, may the hungry be nurished, may the world seek peace as one....

And I totally agree that I hope 2005 yields much better things.
As a person living in Australia and in the area of the terrible human tradegy that has startled the world, I hope that those people who have been effected there and also those who live elsewhere who have lost loved one there can rebuild there lives.
All the best to everyone. A positive from one person CAN pass on a positive vibe to the next person - and so on.

I now belong to a new religion that does not recognize or celebrate the so called "new" year.
In my religion EVERYTHING is ONE LONG YEAR THAT NEVER ENDS...
Tonight I plan to celebrate reconfirmation™ of the year 0000001* (The church leader/s (me) are not sure how long "this" world will last... so I/we aren't taking any chances!).
Happy Happy One Year®!
...and Happy New Year for the rest of you.
p.s. The evil, right-wing government will force me to write 2005 on all my checks of course.
p.s.s. My new religion is base 7... the Alien Overlords® who genetically engineered the original primates to fly their ships only had seven fingers.... that is why they are gone now... monkeys are terrible pilots.

Isn't the above a political statement of your own? shouldn't you have just remained silent to observe your own beliefs.
Still I'm sorry that you feel that way, BUT I respect your view, don't agree at all....IF one is delegated to decide what is the appropriate time or place to state ones feeling/beliefs we are in a world of hurt.....That reminds me of how people who where openly stating their opposition to Jr Bushs War where labeled unpatriotic or worse, guilty of treason.....Reminds me also of the McCarthy era.
With that said, guess all could have been placed in the OT forum...so you could be correct there.....
