Does anyone know if the Siggraph training tapes cover re-usable action and motion workflow. Have had a look at the index of the available tapes and none mention the subject. There seems to be a lot of help and examples available on this forum but no really central illustrated step by step tutorials. Do the demonstrators at the trade shows go through the process of re-uasable actions, may make it worthwhile attending one sometime, or a bootcamp for new/intermediate users.

One of the Anzovin tapes has a section on Non-Linear animation which is kind of related but I found it rather cryptic.

What are the things you most want to know? Someone here might be able to address specific questions.

Thanks for your reply Robcat, I should probably first say I have AM 10.5 and can model, texture and rig ok enough to get by and am slowly coming to grips with re-using actions.
I am just looking for short simple step by step instructions like "to add an action before a walk cycle do this... To add an action during a walk cycle do this... to add an action at the end of a walk cycle do this... to add subtle movements throughout the sequence do this...use add when you want to... use replace when you want to... use ease to do this"
It has just surprised me when I got to try animating and realised the importance of re-usable actions how little there was in the way of visual tutorial, and I don't mean screen shots of drop down menus. Maybe when I come to grips with re-usable actions I will do a tutorial for dummys.

I found the Anzovin tapes revelatory, myself, but I admit I haven't watched them in a while.

I'm working on a project right now which uses reusable actions in a major way. I'm no guru, but I get by, and I'll be producing a tutorial when the project wraps (mid-January, probably). I don't know yet if I have the capacity for video capture, but if so, that'll be the way I go. Hopefully, that will help.
