I am fairly new at this, but i tried to make a quick movie using only actions.
There is no choreography action in this, except for a path constraint. Many actions
are from the disk and i made in between actions. It is pretty rough but it was fun
and fairly quick to make.

That was really cute! Poor Shaggy!

You missed the contest by a day!

Pretty neat stuff ... why not post the .prj file? Or at least a screenshot of the timeline showing the actions ...

Could you explain a bit on how you made the inbetweens? Where they animated in the Chor, or did you create a separate action?

TIA

Thank you robcat!

Thank you vf124! I will post the project file. It will ask you for Shaggy and the door model, because i saved them on my computer for minor changes. It will
also ask you for the 2 wav sounds, just cancel. The text at the end is a layer
with an alpha channel, that is why it will ask you for the image "bulle". All the
actions are embedded except "shot(overacting)". I did this to change a few
keyframes, mostly at the beginning and the end of actions.

They are actions, there is no key on any bone in the choreography action.

Also, i forgot to mention it is rendered with a single camera constrained to
other cameras.

Michel;

David (higginsdj) has kindly suggested you should receive the "Looney Tunes" prize for your gracious submission to the Reusable Motion canon of projects.

Please email me your address.

Michel,

Thanks for sharing the file ... still looking it over ... can't quite figure out the camera trick?

Nicely done! I haven't checked out the project yet, but it certainly looks like you've got a handle on actions.

Thank you David and Martin. I was not actually aiming the contest, but i am glad that you think the project is appropriate and hopefully helpful to some. I want to encourage this reusable motion thread you started, Martin, as i agree with you there could be much more discussions on these topics. I have the feeling many
people put enormous energy in modeling and rigging(which is fun), and can forget or never try the pleasure of animating, the main force and purpose of AM. By the way, i must say the whole forum has become soooo interesting lately with the new feature topics and fantastic projects on the way in the WIP section.

Look into the choreography action of the camera named "camera travelling", and you will see all the constraints.

Does anyone have this project available? It seems that I can't download it from the hash server right now... not sure whether this is temporary or whether the file is gone.

Thanks,
