I thought I would have a go at anagliph 3d image ,but Im getting a black screen when I render .I know Robert done some really good ones ,is there a tut or some help about it anywhere

I recall this happening in the past. I don't recall the exact cause.

Try a Help>reset all settings, quit, restart and reload your PRJ

I think this had to do with multi-pass.

Turn off multi-pass and see how that works.

This is with the eye spacing at 3.62 and 0.5 cm the one above is at 7.62

Getting closer ,this is much better but I can see a ghost image on the right aswell ,I moved the camera closer to get this and the eye spacing is 3.62

I think your "frame distance" is too short. you can adjust it in the cam properties or it is also a visible gadget on the camera view cone if Stereo is ON.

Here's another tutorial that covers Stereoscopic Image composition, including "frame distance".

I'll also note that stereoscopic pics tend to work better with wider camera angles perhaps around 40 rather than the default 70.
