Periodically, an animation exersize or topic, often with reference material and a specific character, will be posted in the forum. Participants can interpret this topic however they like. Animations can be done with or without props,scenery, sound, etc., it is completely up to the participant. The idea of this contest is for participant to focus on their animation skills, rather than model building. Each participant must submit a 320x240, animation in quicktime format using a cross-patform CODEC (note: entries will not be accepted in any other format), of any length by the deadline. Send submissions to steve@hash.com. The animations will be voted on by the members of the forum, with 1 first place winner and 3 runners up selected from all entries to receive prizes. Prizes awarded can change on a month to month basis. First place winners will receive a trophy similar to the one shown below; Runners-up will receive plaques. Additional prizes have included books, t-shirts, posters and video cards.
